About Bryan Busse
His graduate training in Counseling Psychology, completed with honors, led to internships in substance abuse treatment, adolescent settings, and county programs for emotionally disturbed, at-risk youth. Those early experiences expanded into work in neuropsychology, where he contributed to care for traumatic brain injury, dementia, and chronic pain and trained in neurofeedback and biofeedback. He completed state licensure as an LMFT in 2004 and has practiced in both private and clinical settings since then. Personal caregiving experience for a family member with Alzheimer’s Disease shaped his specialization in geriatric and caregiver-related concerns, and he has supported clients across hospice, home health, assisted living, and memory care environments.
He also brings life experience as a parent and step-parent, a survivor of family health and addiction challenges, and a background in business and finance that informs practical, solution-focused work. He is not currently accepting new clients.

Therapeutic Approaches and Online Support
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps clients notice difficult thoughts and feelings without being dominated by them and focuses on values-driven action - it can be useful for anxiety, stress, and navigating life changes. Attachment-Based Therapy explores patterns in close relationships that shape how people connect and respond to others, which is helpful for relationship, family, and attachment issues. Client-Centered Therapy prioritizes the client’s perspective and fosters empathy, acceptance, and collaboration so people feel heard and empowered to find their own solutions.Bryan Busse works collaboratively with clients to determine which approach or combination of approaches best fits their needs, goals, and preferences. Finding the right method is treated as an ongoing conversation rather than a one-time decision, and adjustments are made together as the work evolves.
Online sessions by video call, phone, live chat, or text-based messaging offer flexibility for those balancing caregiving, work, or health challenges. These options make it easier to maintain consistent contact with a licensed professional, accommodate changing schedules, and continue therapy through transitions in life and location.
