His professional training spans the United States, China and India. In 1986 he participated as a member of the first bodywork team invited to a teaching hospital in China to study Tuina, a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine and massage, and in 1991 he traveled to India to study with the meditation teacher H.W.L. Poonja (Papaji). Until recently, he taught Reiki for almost 30 years and has provided Reiki therapy for nearly 40 years.

Neal led a four-year national research study examining behavioral effects of the Intuipath® design on children and adolescents with ADHD.

In private practice Neal assists individuals facing a range of concerns including stress, anxiety, relationship and family issues, grief, trauma and abuse, chronic illness and caregiving challenges, LGBTQ+ matters, parenting and career transitions. He integrates relaxation and meditation training, the Emotional Freedom Technique, graphotherapy and other targeted practices while exploring integrative medical options and the psychology and spirituality of illness and recovery. Integrative Therapeutic Approaches for Online Care

Attachment-Based Therapy focuses on patterns of connection formed in early relationships and how those patterns influence current intimacy, trust and communication. It can help individuals and couples understand recurring relationship dynamics and build more secure ways of relating.

Client-Centered Therapy emphasizes empathy, respect and the client's own capacity for growth. By creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment, this approach helps people explore values, strengthen self-esteem and make choices that align with personal goals.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) offers practical strategies to identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that contribute to anxiety, depression, sleep problems and stress. CBT provides tools for immediate coping as well as longer-term skills for managing life changes.

Finding the right therapeutic approach is part of the work itself. Neal Harris, as a licensed professional, collaborates with each client to determine which combination of methods best fits the client's needs, goals and preferences, adjusting the plan as progress is made.

Online therapy with Neal makes these approaches accessible through video calls, phone sessions, live chat and text-based messaging. This flexibility supports consistent care across different schedules and life circumstances while allowing therapists to tailor pace and format to each client's comfort and needs.
